This page contains updates on various activities around the railroad

As we reported last month, there has been a lot of work to remodel our front passenger car.

The biggest project so far this year is the stripping and remodeling of our front passenger car. All the seats and tables were removed to be sanded, stained and polished. The walls will all be sanded and repainted. Then new carpeting will be installed. Once the carpeting is in, all the benches and tables will be bolted back into place.

Here are a couple of pictures of the finished product.

There are plans to add a little more to this car but that may wait until later in the season.

Work has also started to scrape off all the old paint on the center cab switcher #911 and repaint it. So far, most of the work has been inside the cab around the engineer's seat.

Some of the crew were able to deliver ties that will be used throughout the spring.
Track work is a never ending job and we are always looking for people to help.
Why pay all that money for a gym membership when you could volunteer at the railroad?

Stay tuned for more news.
